09/20/2008 - Awareness at Thornhill FestivalAndrea Bertoia set up a booth at the annual Thornhill Festival to raise awareness and funds for brain tumour research.
05/24/2008 - 2nd Annual Skate With DanielEight teams played hockey; a balloon-pop and silent auction event with a lot of donated prizes to be won. Skate with Daniel 2008 was supported by the National Hockey League Players Association's (NHLPA) ombudsman Eric Lindros. Edmonton Oiler, Andrew Cogliano, attended the event and played in one of the games. Daniel was too ill to attend but kept in touch with organizers throughout the event of the day so that he could be a part of a great success and fun day. This event raised $47,511.11 for brain tumour research.
05/23/2007 - 1st Annual Skate With DanielFamily, friends, and Daniel's teammates got together in a show of support for Daniel. Daniel was able to play that day and scored the winning goal! This event raised $2,011 for brain tumour research.
